Adoption “Meet & Greet” Days
Adoption “Meet & Greet” Days are 11:00am - 3:00pm on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays (skipping major holidays) at Fairview Heights, Illinois Petco Store at Hwy 159 & Hwy 50 (near the I-64 interchange).
We will conduct adoptions by appointment at our Shelter Office - 2510 S. Elm St, Greenville. Adoption days may vary depending on availability of adoption staff.
Membership Meetings
Membership Meetings are no longer held regularly but scheduled by the board as needed.

🍕 Eat @ Joe’s - Tuesday, September 15, 2026
Make a plan to gather together with friends at Joe’s Pizza & Pasta in downtown Greenville, IL on Tuesday, September 15th and support temporarily homeless cats and dogs in your community!! Eat in or dine out between 4 - 8 pm; a portion of sales will be donated to Bond County Humane Society.
Support Joe’s Pizza & Pasta and Bond County Humane Society at the same time! Having someone else cook and clean up is a bonus. 🍕
Paws In The Park - Saturday, October 24, 2026
We are offering several levels of event sponsorship again this year. It is your business and personal support that makes this celebration of people and their pets a success! Details coming soon.
Our biggest fundraiser and annual celebration is back October 24 11am-3pm!
Hosted at Bond County Fairgrounds (1224 Midway Drive, Greenville, IL 62246), Main Gate on Ridge Avenue off S Elm Street.
About Paws In The Park 2026 - Fun-filled day full of lots of activities for everyone: bring your friendly leashed dog; get a chance to meet all your friends’ and neighbors’ dogs!
We’re planning your favorite Dog Contests including a Costume Parade, Dog Art Booth, Family Pet Photos and Selfie Picture Station, Silent Auction and multiple Raffles, Food Vendors, & more! Contests registration open @ 10:30am. Most importantly Paws in the Park is a day to raise money for Bond County Humane Society!

Pet Photos with Santa, Silent Auction, & Bake Sale - Saturday, November 21, 2026
We’re holding a pet-forward event at The Milk House on Saturday, November 21st where we’ll bid on Silent Auction baskets, offer sweet home-baked treats, and snap festive pet photos with Santa & Mrs Paws! All benefiting cats and dogs at Bond County Humane Society!
Photos with Santa will be printed on site, so bring your leashed dog and/or cat in a carrier and pose them with the kids or the entire family!
Also shop our Silent Auction items, Bake Sale, buy a BCHS Tee Shirt, and more details to be announced!
BCHS is a no-kill animal shelter and an IRS approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization so all donations are tax deductible in accordance with IRS guidelines.
